Introduction
We are a body of believers committed to serving Jesus Christ.  As a  Baptist Association, we join with likeminded Christians in spreading the gospel around the world.  Christ reached out to people of all ages and backgrounds and at New River Baptist Association we desire to do the same.  That's why you'll discover ministries geared to various life stages and needs.  Here, we have a place for everyone to study the Scriptures, fellowship together, and minister to others through numerous  opportunities.  We want you to be a part of the blessings of God in the life of our association.  We'll bring you updates periodically on just what's happening at New River Baptist Association.

E.J. the Giant
(Tune: WebbStand Up, Stand Up for Jesus)
Written November 2, 2010

A giant walks among us
His voice is loud and strong;
He stands for what is righteous
Speaks out for what is wrong.

He loves the Kingdom’s purpose
He works with all his might;
His vision is eternal;
God’s will always in sight.

In principle and practice
He firmly stands his ground;
But when it comes to friendship
His equal can’t be found.

There’s never any question
There’s never any doubt.
You want to know what he thinks?
Just ask him, you’ll find out.

Final Verse
Written November 18, 2010

Today, his voice is silent,
On earth to hear no more;
And now in heav’n rejoicing
God’s glories he’ll explore.

But if there is a study
New models to devise,
He’ll surely be the chairman
For heaven knows, he’s wise.

I loved my friend. E.J.
